A Gold Coast Trail Runners group run on some of the singletrack in Nerang NP. Not hilly by Nerang standards, but good fun running. Plenty of rest breaks.

WED 1 JAN 2014
AM | 5.4km, nil VG, 45mins – very easy NYD sunrise road run

The plan was to run and see the sunrise, however an overcast morning meant we saw very little of the sun coming up. Still, a nice morning and a very relaxed run with lots of breaks. Post-run breakfast and coffee sans hangover made it worth the effort!

Out on the local trail for 90 minutes or so of easy running.

Recovery week this week and I opted for a little more road running, mainly to keep the runs on the flat. It made me realise how much more I enjoy trails – 90 minutes on road was more than enough for me…I got bored. I’m looking forward to finding some hills again this coming week, and I have the Hares and Hounds team trail relay next weekend – should be a fun week of running!
